In her own words, she stated that the shortcut to success in the industry is often the casting couch. She mentioned that while some take advantage of this, others are ready to do anything to make it in the industry.
Esther Noronha further elaborated, “The casting couch exists in the film industry. Many people are willing to do anything for a chance, to go any distance. Such people are taken advantage of by some. Additionally, the prevailing conditions in the industry contribute to the harassment women face.”
She clarified that she has never engaged in such practices and emphasized that many people advance on their talent alone. Esther Noronha stated, “I have always relied on my talent and hard work to progress in my career.”
