In the context of this, there has been a lot of discussion on social media about what would happen if Mahesh Babu played the role of Sri Krishna in the Mahabharata sequences of ‘Kalki’ movie. When asked by a journalist if there is a chance for Mahesh Babu to play Sri Krishna in ‘Kalki 2’, Nag Ashwin responded.
”I had thought of introducing Sri Krishna in a dark shade in ‘Kalki’ movie. Even in ‘Kalki 2’, I think that’s the best option. But, Mahesh Babu is genuinely good as Sri Krishna. If the opportunity arises in the future, I would definitely cast him in that role. ”
